Puncture Resistance of PVC Geomembranes using the truncated cone test

This paper presents an experimental study to develop a design procedure for the puncture behavior of PVC geomembranes. After comparison, it was concluded that PVC geomembranes have higher puncture resistance than polyethylene geomembranes despite the PVC membranes being thinner.
